Your Role

Are you a dedicated engineer who wants to help shape the future of the aviation industry? We are now looking for a driven Test Engineer who wants to work on exciting and challenging projects alongside our dynamic team of about 25 employees. Here, you will have a unique opportunity to be part of the journey to new heights, where we not only develop fighter aircraft - but also create the testing methodologies and technical solutions of the future in the aviation field.

As a test engineer, you will work closely with fighter aircraft and have the opportunity to plan and conduct testing both in aircraft, simulators, and rigs. You will develop testing methodologies and test programs, lead tests at various test stations, and analyze results - a central role where you truly make a difference. During flight tests, you will monitor the flight in real-time and ensure that each moment is executed with precision and safety.

You will be a key player in our projects, where we work closely in test teams that may consist of pilots, development engineers, and other test engineers. Together, we take the products all the way from design to a validated solution.

Your Profile

We are looking for a positive and proactive engineer with a passion for technology and a desire to understand how things work in depth. You have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team and enjoy variety in your tasks.

To succeed in this role, we see that:

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in areas such as mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, technical physics, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• You preferably have a few years of experience in a relevant field, such as aerodynamics, flight mechanics, flight performance, or control systems.
• You have very good knowledge of both Swedish and English, as our documentation is mainly in English.

Interest and experience in developing operations using Python, Linux, Git, or automation tools like Jenkins is a plus.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
